I am a solo-practicing attorney who has been actively practicing law since 1981 in the East San Gabriel Valley. I prefer to represent ordinary people who have found themselves involved in situations in which they require legal assistance. I consider myself more of a champion of the people rather than a soldier of corporate America. I offer personalized services and reasonable rates. My goal is to lessen the impact as best as possible in with an eye on the economics of the situation.

I grew up in the State of Oregon, but have lived in California since 1970. I still have what I call hometown values and believe that we all have to live together in this world peacefully. My dog BuddyLee and I live in a turn of the century historic home, which we take great pride in. I am active in local civic organizations in my hometown of Pomona. I have served as the President of the California Junior Chamber of Commerce in 1995 and had the good fortune of traveling throughout the State of California to provide motivational training and assistance in personal development. I truly believe that this world will only become a better place from the bottom up and not from the top down.
I graduated from University High School in Irvine in 1973. I always knew I wanted to be an attorney and focused on that endeavor throughout high school. I attended the University of California at San Diego and obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 1977. My memories of college are all favorable and I encourage every young person to obtain a college degree. I obtained my Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1980 and commenced the practice of law in 1981. My move to Covina was pure circumstance. I have Richard Hernandez, a prominent West Covina attorney to thank for that. After passing the bar exam and while renting a property from him in Orange County, he invited me to come to his office in West Covina and commence my own private practice. I drove up here one day and fell in love with the communities and civic pride of the cities in the San Gabriel Valley. Within six months I left Orange County and have been here ever since.
I prefer to operate a small law office rather than sign on with a big firm. It offers me the opportunity to meet with real people who need real assistance. I take great pride in my personal relationships with my clients in which my goal is to have a positive impact in their lives and better equip them to both improve themselves and those around them.
If you believe that a session or relationship with an attorney is something that will benefit you, I encourage you to read on. If you do not believe this, I still encourage you to read on because you are already here and I believe that almost anyone from time to time can benefit from the assistance of an attorney.
